lucalvani: Week 9 #Uncle
Luca Calvani's picture says it all. After weeks of location work that included stops in Naples and Rome, the U.N.C.L.E. cast and crew seem to be putting the final touches on the film at the Warner Bros. studios outside of London.
In the last few weeks, second unit work took place in Wales. The Cambrian News has more:
ACTION scenes for a multi-million-pound blockbuster starring Hollywood stars have been filmed in the Cambrian Mountains near Aberystwyth.
Four Weddings and a Funeral hearthrob Hugh Grant, Man of Steel’s Henry Cavill and The Lone Ranger’s Armie Hammer are starring in The Man from UNCLE. The 150-strong film crew was based opposite the Dyffryn Castell pub, near Ponterwyd and spent 10 days filming action scenes involving a car chase in the surrounding forests and mountains.
At the same time, Henry and Armie Hammer, were playing their spy characters a little too well, as they filmed some awesome lookin' boat chase scenes at the London Docklands. Check out our exclusive photos and videos from that location, plus marliimarl_s account.
The crew shared some of their pics as well.

Filming then moved to the Royal Institute of British Architects' (RIBA) Jarvis Auditorium in London (via):
The Man From U.N.C.L.E is Guy Ritchie’s big-screen remake of the 60s TV spy caper and used RIBA Venues’ Jarvis Auditorium as a backdrop for the movie, which stars Hugh Grant, Henry Cavill, Armie Hammer and Alicia Vikander.
The Jarvis tiered auditorium is RIBA Venues’ largest meeting space, located on its lower ground floor, with a capacity for up to 400.
RIBA Venues’ Head of Venues, Stephanie Ellrott, said: “We were extremely excited to host Guy Ritchie’s team onsite filming the remake of a 60s spy classic.
“The design of RIBA Venues means we are a popular film and photoshoot location. Our grand entrance lobby, unique lifts, stunning staircases, grand art deco hall, stylish library, court room, boardrooms and three outdoor terraces with stunning views across London all provide great backdrops and have been the subject of a number of movies over the years.”
Filming at RIBA took place over the weekend, and Henry was not involved since he was busy with the Man of Steel Q&A. The Mirror reports David Beckham was there to film an U.N.C.L.E. cameo. We'll just have to wait and see if it's true. In the meantime, enjoy the studio shots from the film's crew back at the Warner Bros. Studios in Leavesden, where The Man from U.N.C.L.E. will wrap in a few weeks. The film is expected to be released late next year.
