Dear all, we love your feedback! -- Just some common guidelines: Please respect each other, and most importantly respect Henry. Thank you for contributing to this blog.
I am sure he is great but I will need to meet him first and judge for myself if he is "gracious and charming with fans" as the article claims. I am sure charming ladies is easy for the big guy, but the rest of his fans are men. LOL.
ReplyDeleteHi :o) Read this someone shared:

I agree one needs to see for oneself but at the same time from what I seen and red from Men fans Henry has been nice to them as well.

ReplyDeleteI thought this would interest you all here on "Henry Cavill News." I have it on good authority, that the identity of A towards the end of this blog post is Henry Cavill.
ReplyDeletePlease read about this not-so-usual fan encounter: https://officiallydiva.wordpress.com/2015/08/23/feeling-100/
Thanks for the story, he's always super nice. Appreciate it, will add it on a post from that night.
DeletePues que puedo decir es un buen chico muy humilde. Nunca cambies!
ReplyDeleteÉxito
I have met Henry a few times lovely man but my first encounter wasn't very successful.....my hubby and I waited nearly 8 hours in the pouring rain ( me just having an eye op too ) ...Henry spent nearly 3 hours down front part of red carpet doing photos etc and was then rushed pasted us and a load of fans by his PA people so very disappointed we boarded the train home when hubby said ....Don't worry I got a fantastic picture of Henry ......flicking through pictures I couldn't find one so was then confronted with a clear as day picture of ........HENRY THE HOOVER !!!
ReplyDeleteThat is very sweet of your husband! Thank you for sharing your story. If you have a photo of you finally meeting Henry we'd love to share it with the rest of his fans. Just email us (details in post). Thank you again :)
DeleteGod bless your husband. He loves you to do that for you.
DeleteI haven't met him and chances are slim as I have never heard of him traveling to South Africa...but I do pray to experience what the other fans have experienced meeting him. I will probably faint, scream or just freeze in shock...I'm not as brave as the other fans.

DeleteAlexandra,
ReplyDeleteThank you dearly for your reply! Although I’m saddened by this! I wanted to share my story. Sarah, the mother of a child that was diagnosed with CF at the age of 7 and also a close friend of mine, has been working together with the CF community to raise money for the foundation by running marathons, at the same time educating others with CF on living a healthy life. In 2016 I decided I was going to train with her to be able to run the NYC Marathon, in that process I also needed to follow a very strict diet. While doing this I was down 40 pounds in just a couple of months and already a better runner and, it felt great!. Throughout the years I have kept my 40 pounds off by registering for 5k and 10k everywhere. It sounds horrible but I honestly did not know what the Durrell Challenge was until I was reading about Cavill (which I thought he looked familiar) don’t tell him I said so!. I’m 39 years old and I don’t fancy Social Media so I’m not always up to date with things going on in the world, like him being Superman! I rather be out there doing things instead, hiking, running, traveling, etc. This year has been a very challenging year for a lot and although human life is very important, I also believe that our wildlife is equally if not more important, so I did my research and I found Durrell Conservation. I’m a Brit living in America so I though it would be nice to take on the challenge and pass by and see my family on the way.
I train almost every day and join as much activities for CF I can, the one goal I have in the next coming years is the Boston Marathon and I’m still training along with Sarah to achieve this goal. In this process I see more and more people join communities like yours and it’s just a tremendous way to keep connected, off social media and stay healthy. I can’t wait for next years run, I will be front center, as your challenge has also become my number 1 goal in 2021.
Hello,
DeleteI just read your posting and i wanted to wish great success with your marathons. Keep your chin up and keep going. You are inspiration to many here who have read your post. KNow that in someway and somehow you have inspired a few.
And thankyou to Alexandra, for allowing this post on your site.
:)
now i best be getting my butt in gear and go for a long walk :)
Cj, your story is wonderful. How I wish I was your age again! When you get discouraged, know that the determination and persistence you are building NOW will serve you for the rest of your life! A former paramedic, I've had both knees, a hip, and two shoulders replaced in the past 10 years. Each surgery crushed my ability to 'bounce back' a little more each time. My life-saving days are over, I'm afraid. But though I couldnt achieve the Boston Marathon or Durrell Challenge with this used up body today, the stubborn heart of an old hero beats within me still, urging me to do the best I can with what I've got. Isn't that all anyone can do? Though impressive, we don't all have to achieve what Henry Cavill has. (In fact, comparing our goals and achievements to others' can be detrimental!) But your determination to keep pushing your limits is outstanding. Just please take care of your body! You only get one, take it from me! You know what inspires me to keep walking my therapeutic 2.5 mile walk every day? Hans Zimmer's Man of Steel music. Specifically the piece called "What Will You Do When You're Not Saving The World?" I swear the crescendos in that make me feel like I could truly fly like Superman (when in reality, my Saint of a husband is holding my hand, pulling me up my nemesis... the hill!). The point is, your attitude: CHOOSING to persist, is what determines if you will fly. Isn't that what Superman's character, along with the absolute commitment to doing good, is the model of, regardless of who plays him? Henry sacrificed a normal life to achieve what he has. That he chooses to use his notoriety to encourage the world to do good, instead of damning his lack of privacy, is massively commendable. My husband (Captain & Task Force Leader for MD Task Force 1, Urban Search & Rescue, Incident Commander on 9/11 at the Pentagon and many other rescue related deployments in the last 32 years) is the quietest hero you'd ever meet. I mean a real life hero! It isnt exaggerating to describe him as the kind of man Hollywood's Heroic characters are based on! Truly humble, he doesn't believe calling attention to one's good deeds is right. And for the most part he is correct. True altruism requires anonymity! Henry, however, seems to have shown an acceptable exception to that rule. He may just be an actor, but he managed to effectively use that platform for measurable good, inspiring people like you towards great physical and charitable accomplishments, and people like me, (approaching the end of what good I can do for the world,) to just keep putting one arthritic foot in front of the other, until once again I find myself at the top of that dreaded hill!
ReplyDeleteSending you as much support as these pixels can carry!
Here's a Henry Cavill interaction you might enjoy hearing about, so there was me a newly born fan of the extremely talented and handsome lovely Henry cavill when I decided to write to him, I had very little idea that sur to his very busy life with filming and such like I thought " nah Henry's forgotten"! However I was proven wrong when a signed autographed photo of our lovely Henry as Geralt whih made it all the special as I'm a huge fan of him as Geralt and of the show.
ReplyDeleteGuys I'm not joking I couldve cried now I'm determined to continue my fanfic of the Witcher for him it's a good motivation to carry on. Thankyou henry! 🙂❤❤❤
I would give almost anything to meet him! It's one of my biggest dreams! Is it possible to make that happen? How?!! I would love to do whatever I have to!
