Lucky Detroit: Holiday Weekend Fun With Superman

After meeting Henry, awoodddd said: "Loving on Superman last night, Henry Cavill marry me?" -- she later told us Henry was "the nicest guy."

Detroit Filming: Clark Kent Spotted At The Gotham City Jail!

After getting a first look at Henry as Superman on the Detroit set of Batman v Superman, now we get to see him as Clark! - the cast and crew this week filmed at the old Detroit Police Department where Clark apparently had some business to attend to Wednesday. We got a preview of his new look in June, as part of Henry's support for The Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund. Now here's the real thing, complete with those trademark glasses. Nice to see you again Clark.

A limited edition The Man from U.N.C.L.E. coin given to you by Solo himself? - DEAD. Today we share example #1999 that proves Henry truly is THE BEST (in case the baby pic didn't convince you). Again, so proud to support him each and every day. Did we mention this film will be a treat from beginning to end? - just wait!

In the U.N.C.L.E. letter Henry mentions his "tradition." He did a similar thing for the Man of Steel crew after that film wrapped. Here is the letter and coin they received.

Variety: Henry Cavill Could Have Been 'King Arthur'

We have seen Henry shine in The Tudors, so we're not surprised that according to Variety he was up for the part of King Arthur in the upcoming feature.

Variety says Henry was one of three actors who read for the part in the Warner Bros. film, that will be helmed by The Man from U.N.C.L.E. director Guy Ritchie. The other two actors were Jai Courtney and Charlie Hunnam, who reportedly has been offered the role.

While we have no doubt Henry would have nailed such an iconic character (sword in the stone? pfft..) -- we wouldn't mind seeing him as bad boy Sir Lancelot who *screams* Duke of Suffolk.

Henry will next be seen on the big screen in August of 2015, playing suave American agent Napoleon Solo in Ritchie's U.N.C.L.E. -- so we're crossing our fingers he remains in the mix for other key roles in King Arthur. Regardless, he's already Superman to the world, can't wait to see what comes next.

Hello Solo: First Official Stills From The Man From U.N.C.L.E.

This should ease the sting of The Man from U.N.C.L.E. delay. Today we got the first official stills from the film, via Empire magazine's October issue. We're imagining they went to print before the film was pushed back as you can see by the "Winter Preview" heading. U.N.C.L.E. was supposed to come out in January, before Warner Brothers decided to give it the much better slot of August 14, 2015. In fact Henry and Armie Hammer were just in London a few weeks ago doing reshoots for the film, in which Henry plays suave American spy Napoleon Solo. We got a chance to briefly talk to Henry about U.N.C.L.E. at Comic-Con last year as he was getting ready to start filming, now he tells Empire he didn't really look back at the TV series as he prepared to portray Solo:

"I didn't see that it was necessarily important. I just wanted to meet Guy to know how he saw it."

These new stills show the cast and crew on location in Rome and London last fall. Check out all of our U.N.C.L.E. coverage during that time (even more here) and hold on, because this movie is going to take your breath away!

In case you are just catching up, Henry is awesome. Without hesitation, no matter where he is or what he's doing, he takes time for his fans. Henry was out spending time with fellow crossfitters in Detroit today, and these guys got some great photos with him. Both groups had met him back in February, at the Michigan Barbell competition. Lucky them.
