Henry Looking Fit, As He Helped Fellow Crossfitters With Their Move
joelk423: "Henry was helping with the move today #famouspeople"
So on his day off from filming Batman v Superman, he helps his Detroit CrossFit friends move. Yeah. Henry is just too much.
Definitely #GibRunRock ready Superman!
daynakleist: "Henry Cavill was at our gym today! He's such a cool guy!"
Henry with trainer Michael Blevins (@sworntoblack) at the new gym.
Whenever he's not on set, Henry has been supporting Michael as he participates in CrossFit events. First at the Michigan Barbell Classic, and most recently at the Pure Michigan Invitational. Top guys these two. Congrats on the new place!
New Photos From Detroit: Superman Out On The Town
Yebba_0891: Just met Superman, nbd.
No big deal?.. we'd say it's a PRETTY BIG DEAL. After all, we hadn't seen Henry in what, two weeks now? -- don't do that to us again! and did everyone notice the hairstyle?.. all he's missing is that glorious suit of his.
Flashback Saturday: Henry Then And Now
Image: Discover & Delta Chiropractic
This picture reminds us how much we're gonna miss t-shirt weather. The photo (via) is from last month's Pure Michigan Invitational, in which Henry's trainer Michael Blevins placed third (go Michael!). That was also the day we possibly got the CUTEST PIC OF HENRY you will EVER see. Without counting the set puppy photos. Summertime. Sniff.
This other flashback moment, comes courtesy of Kimberly Houston (khouston86). This week she shared this sweet candid from 2011, captured as she interviewed Henry and Luke Evans during the Immortals promo at WonderCon. Back when Henry was rocking the curls.
There are SO. MANY. memorable moments from that day, but our favorite will always be Henry getting the giggles, during his interview with Drew McWeeny over at HitFix. Don't miss it (at about 1:15). Happy Flashback Saturday everyone!
Cavill Conservation: Badongo & Indigo Celebrating A Super Birthday!
UPDATE 9/28: We've added a news clip of the gorillas opening their presents, and it includes new video of Henry's visit to the park last month. WATCH IT NOW.

Our male #gorillas Badongo and Indigo share a birthday this Sat! #LikeFatherLikeSon #CavillConservation #HappyBDay pic.twitter.com/MiZLK11YJj
— Durrell Wildlife (@DurrellWildlife) September 23, 2014
It's a super special day at Durrell Wildlife Park. They are celebrating the shared birthdays of a father and son, who just happen to be part of Henry's new extended family in his home island of Jersey.
Last month Henry became the first ambassador for Durrell, launching cavillconservation.com, where fans can learn all about his involvement with the charity. That includes the special connection he has with the gorillas at the wildlife park.
Ahead of Badongo and Indigo's birthday bash, we reached out to Durrell's Rick Jones for some feedback on the two birthday boys:
Indigo is the grandson of Jambo (worth reading) – Henry remembers Jambo and his story from his childhood, which was one of the reasons he was so interested in our gorillas when he came back to visit us.
Interestingly, Jambo's former keeper (and author of the book 'Jambo') – now retired – Richard Johnstone-Scott – mentions that Badongo is extremely similar in looks and temperament to Jambo. Eerily so, in fact.
When the two do interact, Badongo is very gentle, and despite still being quite young himself, he's become an exemplary silverback and father. All we could hope for, really.
As you saw at the top of the post, Rick gave us a sneak peek at the gifts waiting to be unwrapped by the gorillas. He tells us one of their 'presents' has a Superman logo on it. Couldn't be more fitting. Happy Birthday Badongo and Indigo!
You too can join in the celebration by becoming part of Henry's gorilla family at Durrell. Learn more.

Mansion Set Goes Live: 'Batman v Superman' Filming Update
After weeks of setting up, today the Batman v Superman crew finally moved into the Gotham mansion for some filming. Or at least we think it's Gotham because why else would their cops be there. And was Superman also on that set? you be the judge. More details and photos as we get them.

"I Could Not Be Happier To Take Part In The Gibraltar Rock Run"
We're now just one month away from the Gibraltar Rock Run, and Henry is ready to go!
Gibraltar Chronicle:
Superman, Henry Cavill, has said it will be an honour for him to participate in the Royal Marines 350th birthday celebrations on the Rock next month. Mr Cavill, taking part in the historic Rock Run on Saturday 25 October at the start of a busy weekend of events marking the occasion, will run alongside his Royal Marine brother, Lieutenant Colonel Nik Cavill.Gibraltar Chronicle:
Looking forward to the event Henry Cavill said: “I could not be happier to take part in the Gibraltar Rock Run with my brother and his fellow Royal Marines especially during such a momentous occasion. I will remember this day fondly and probably with a little bit of physical discomfort which only seems fitting considering what this day represents.”
Henry and his brother will join the dozens of runners who will participate in the historic Rock Run. Henry became an ambassador for The Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund earlier this year, and he's hoping to raise money for the cause. That's where he needs your support. You can sponsor Henry ahead of the run, by donating to his official fundraising page.
He's at about 30% of his goal, and time is running out! -- Join 'Batman v Superman' director Zack Snyder and the many others who have already pitched in, to help Henry reach his £20,000 fundraising target.
Any amount makes a difference, and you can even leave him a message of support. So what are you waiting for? let's show Henry he has the best fans, and when it matters the most. Here's that link again. Thanks everyone!

Batman v Superman: Three Sets, One Busy Soup Kitchen
UPDATE 9/26: Looks like this set is ready to go. Details as we get them.
Image: Brushpark_myhood
We're beginning to think we need to put out a superhero alert in the Detroit area. There's been a lot of filming in the last few weeks, but zero Batman or Superman sightings. Bummer. Work continues at the old mansion, and it's pretty cool to see how it all comes together before the cameras roll.
They took the old boards off the windows to put new boards up & make them look old. #BatmanvSuperman w/@treinman pic.twitter.com/7qzl1tprtW

While the house set gets prepped, the cast and crew are still busy at Michigan's Central Station. Here are the latest pictures from there. No more explosions. Or choppers. Booh.

We do looooove this image by cinematographer Larry Fong. We don't know for sure it's from the station but it certainly looks like it, with the light shining in like that. Gorgeous.
And check out this location spotted a few nights ago. The person who shared it says it was definitely for Batman v Superman. We got no other reports from there, but it is a farm.. ;)

Finally today Food Lab Detroit gave a shout-out to the cast and crew. Apparently they've been eating lots of Beautiful Soups.. just in time for the cooler weather. Filming updates as we get them.

U.N.C.L.E. Gets PG-13 Rating, Score Being Recorded, Crew Honors
UPDATE 9/25: The Production Guild of Great Britain is holding its inaugural awards Saturday, and The Man From U.N.C.L.E. producer Steve Clark-Hall and location manager Sue Quinn are among those being honored. Congrats to them! shows you the quality film we're in for with U.N.C.L.E.
Read the official press release.
Read the official press release.
We're a little bit more than ten months away from the release of The Man From U.N.C.L.E., but that doesn't mean news has slowed down after the film was pushed back. In fact it's been a very busy week!
First off, composer Daniel Pemberton just started recording the U.N.C.L.E. score today. And he's already shared some really cool behind the scenes.
#TheManFromUNCLE is all go.. And that is actually the mixing desk we are using.. 1960s a go go.. pic.twitter.com/vweYkO4JaD

..and for those who want a sneak peak of the score here it is.. #TheManFromUNCLE.. I will tidy up - promise. pic.twitter.com/S9pSjQnfac

Not only that, but according to Box Office Mojo, The Man From U.N.C.L.E. will be rated PG-13 for
"action violence, some suggestive content, and partial nudity." Oh yeah.
We know Henry will get to show off his fighting skills in the film, after Entertainment Weekly visited the set last fall (you're not off the hook yet Luca Calvani). As for the "suggestive content" bit? dream away people.
The Man From U.N.C.L.E. is set to hit U.S. theaters August 14, 2015.

Exclusive: Henry Takes His Pet For A Walk On The 'Batman v Superman' Set
We thought we had seen the cutest pet on set last year, when Armie Hammer's 'Archie' kept stealing the spotlight during the filming of The Man from U.N.C.L.E. in London and Rome. We were wrong. Henry's new furry baby tops the cuddliness factor. Henry was spotted walking his Akita on the Batman v Superman set in Detroit recently. R. Chiang shared the photos exclusively with Henry Cavill News, so if you repost please credit henrycavillnews.com/R. Chiang.
The photographer told us it was a rainy day on set, but Henry waited patiently for his pet (rumored to be named 'Kal-El') to check out his surroundings before they left for the day. BEST. DAD. EVER.
Henry brought his super puppy with him to Detroit at the beginning of the year, after picking him up from Big Bear Akitas in Arkansas. And look how big he's gotten! - nice to see him keeping Henry company as he continues filming Batman v Superman in Michigan through the end of the year.
