Today Bam Studios shared their pic with Henry (in that seriously HOT beanie of his). Since he was there to record, we're thinking more ADR work for The Man From U.N.C.L.E. like he did in Detroit. But when we put in a call to the studios they couldn't confirm. UPDATE 11/19: Bam has shared details about the recording session, that was indeed for U.N.C.L.E.

It was a pleasure to host actor Henry Cavill when he came to BAM to record ADR for the upcoming spy movie “The Man from U.N.C.L.E.”! In a session engineered by Dave Leffel, Cavill recorded additional dialogue for the film via an ISDN connection with WB De Lane Lea Studios in London. This connection allowed writer and director Guy Ritchie to provide direction during the session. ”The Man from U.N.C.L.E.” is a “spy-fi” movie based on a popular TV series of the same name that aired in the late 1960s. Set at the height of the Cold War, the movie centers on two secret agents in their attempt to stop an international criminal organization in its tracks. In the film Cavill plays Napoleon Solo, an American CIA agent who forms an unlikely partnership with his Russian counterpart Illya Kuryakin (portrayed by actor Armie Hammer). Other stars of the film include Elizabeth Debicki, Alicia Vikander, Hugh Grant, and Jared Harris. Henry Cavill is best known for his portrayal of Superman in “Man of Steel” and the upcoming “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice,” and has also appeared on projects such as “Immortals” and “The Tudors.” ”The Man from U.N.C.L.E.” is set to premiere in August of 2015.

Henry has since left Chicago along with Kal, who made quite an impression on everyone he met.. including this airline worker at O'Hare Int'l Airport (Yes, that's a fan account she was tweeting to -- Henry is not on twitter).
Just met @HenryCavill_HCF 😃. You probably won't remember me but your dog was adorable!! Have a safe flight 🎥✈️

Thanks to the beautiful pictures by set photographer, Clay Enos, we know Batman v Superman is now in New Mexico where filming is expected to continue these next few weeks. Hopefully we get pictures out of there, but don't hold your breath. Playas, where we hear most filming is taking place, is in the middle of nowhere. A town dedicated to training anti-terrorism forces (and called a "Post-Apocalyptic Zombie Town" by this blogger)...
that once in a while welcomes film crews like Batman v Superman. Well played Zack Snyder.

UPDATE: Henry's trainer, Michael Blevins, just posted this pic from New Mexico.. and you know what that means! - Watch out for the UFOs you guys.

Does anybody know how many weeks will they be in New Mexico filming scenes? After that, will they be wrapping up or will they go somewhere else?
ReplyDeleteIt looks like at least a couple of weeks, not counting the holiday break. Not sure if that's when they wrap for good. Let you know if /when we hear.
DeleteI've heard they will wrap by the 10th of December so this is the last stop on tour so to speak.
DeleteBen and Amy have completed their filming.
That's around the time we were thinking, and makes sense that Amy and Ben are done. Thanks for that!
DeleteOkay, I feel like a Goonie here- the scene where they hold up the doubloon to match up with the rocks to try to figure out where to go next. Planning a trip out there-just trying to figure out when and where to try to get pics. :-)
ReplyDeleteP.S...I am loving these pictures coming from New Mexico! I told you they have awesome sunsets!! :-) Hopefully clear skies and they can see the Milky Way too....that is something I've not yet attempted to get photos of. :-)
ReplyDeleteMiss the Franklin Mountains as well. Enjoy it all for us!
DeleteThe sun rolling over the top of Franklins and a cup of coffee have started many a day for me. Will do! :-)
DeleteI haven't ever seen the Franklin Mountains before with a cup of coffee, but found This Picture: http://thebackcountryjournal.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Abigail-Austin-Mountains-in-Hiding-Photo-1.jpg
ReplyDeleteThanks for the updates, Y'all & HCN...Look forward to hearing more...
That's exactly how they look.. like gooey marshmallow rolling down the mountains. Look forward to seeing some of those pretty nature moments from home in the film.
DeleteDefinitely will be interesting to see how the set in NM will look on the big screen. Lots of guesses I've read ponder it will be Wonder Woman's home...(which in the comics or at least some drawings I've seen have it surrounded by water)...so somebody will have some CGI work to do if that's the case. Now, to *me* I am still thinking it has something to do with Batman. I mean, if I was going to build a lair I wanted to keep top secret...middle of nowhere NM would be perfect....and a pool....;-)
DeleteSounds good, Jen...The only thing to complete that situation would be to have Henry in the pool with you...That'd be nice... :D
