Irene had already shared her cute pic with Henry at the BAFTAs last month, and today she posted more pics from that night, along with his autograph. Thank you!
Henry has always looked amazing in a well-tailored suit or tux. And photographer Elin Horndfelt reminded us of that, when she shared this gorgeous behind the scenes pic from his Dunhill promo shoot.
In his new interview with ShortList, Henry mentioned that it was during that campaign, that he wore his first proper suit:
Can you remember your first tailored suit?
I know it was Dunhill. I worked with Dunhill for a couple of fragrances, so they did my first suit. I can’t remember the details, but I remember being extraordinarily proud of it because it was Dunhill – a lovely English company.
Could it be the one in the picture? -- Either way, that's one timeless shot.
Isn't that when Henry said he wanted to continue in the role?
ReplyDeleteTo that end, why has not WB upped his 3 picture deal to play Superman? Its not like he will get cheaper over time.
Charms, sweetness, smart, heartwarming, so down to earth & on point!!
ReplyDeleteAnd yet on top of the world!! What a high place to reach, right !! & if you really do! That takes guts! You think who would dare? ;-) <3
WB is waiting on Uncle I think before deciding to continue with him as Superman. The film and his performance were somewhat controversial. Plus he is changing looks-wise fairly quickly. No longer the late 20ish look Superman should have.
ReplyDeleteThe looks changing thing is not a dig. It is what it is. Affleck looks no older than Cavill though he has a decade on him. Its heredity. Look at his not all that older brothers. Another factor why WB has not decided to continue with him in the roleyet. IMO. Its pretty blatant in a way. Mamoa has a 6 film deal and Henry has not yet been signed for a 4th film?!
ReplyDeleteThe hair is an issue too despite folks denying it. At Screen Rant a follicular hallenged guy gave at shout out to Cavill/WB for doing a balding Superman.
ReplyDeleteWhat I am saying is the look seems to be slipping away and that is why WB is hesitant. its all about the look - if you don't wear a mask that is.
To continue. Its, in the end, money. MOS came in last in BO of the last 6 superhero films and cost more than all of them to make From Spiderman (considered a BO failure at 710 million to MOs's 668 million - why Garfield was dropped) to Gof the G. That is why too I think Cavill and Adams are not signed on for more. Look at how the Guardian cast all immediately got contract extensions and raises.

DeleteThis is just rumor as Variey is reports.
ReplyDeleteWait until Henry or WB says something official.
If true, blame the writing and directing for MOS. Has nothing to do with Henry and all to do with Goyer and Snyder but the actor always gets the blame.
Dumbfounded WB is letting Snyder direct Justice League 1 and 2. Man of Steels whatever shortcomings are his fault.
DeleteAre some of you people blind? lol Did you not see the photos of Henry at the top of the page? Or the Napoleon Solo pics/trailer? Henry is perfection...better looking than most guys--any age. Plus, he's talented...and unless you have personal access/hacked into his private conversations with Henry/WB/his agent, how would you possible know of his and their communications/interests/commitments to roles? MOS was really his first huge starring role and the studio was proud of him and he was well received by fans and the film industry in general. He played the role perfectly. He is signed on to do Justice League. Even though Ben and Amy have done more films/have more experience than Henry has, we don't know what their plans/goals/communications are with WB or anyone else for that matter either exactly...but we do know they'll all be busy for the next several years to come with this superhero franchise/story...as will Henry. To compare these actors to other films' actors while predicting negative outcomes for Henry with BvS and JL (before even seeing the films--even after he proved himself with MOS)...and then promoting their competition's future films/acting contracts as if you know the details of every single one of them is absolutely ridiculous and like saying, "No one will like his work...because even though we haven't seen BvS yet (in which his physique and appearance has already been shown to us in a few news pics and is absolutely incredible), we've decided that we don't like it." Completely rude and stupid.
ReplyDeleteTo suggest that 668 million dollars is somehow "a failure" is ridiculous too. lol. I'm sure no one at WB is complaining about it. Most actors/studios would have no problem continue making films forever if their films only ever capped out with that much profit. It puts food on the table and pays for future projects. How much profit is necessary for something to be considered "a success"? And does a film or acting talent only have value/consideration if it is mass marketed and makes more than the top 5 grossing films of the year? I suppose there are only 5 films worth watching then? Does it mean that none of the actors in the less profiting films/independent film are even remotely considerable/have no talent? We better tell the Oscars and BAFTAs--because none of the top grossing action pics/Guardian were nominated for best picture. Some of you people are clearly jealous and stupid coming in here to tear Henry down with silly negative comments...after completely overlooking how gorgeous he is inside and out--that kind of combination...along with a perfect portrayal of Clark and Superman, a genuinely nice guy who is professional and works extremely hard to deliver exactly what they asked of him--exactly why he was chosen for MOS...why he continued on in BvS and will continue with Justice League, etc.
Plus, Henry is sexy too... <3 <3 <3 Thanks for sharing the gorgeious BAFTA pics, HCN (y) :) <3

If WB was so hot on MOS they would have signed Henry for more films pronto. He will just be more expensive is Uncle does well. Henry says he wants to continue in the role so why has WB not engaged him? Like someone said its rumor now but a persistent rumor and Affleck and Gadot are the only official cast announced for JL2. Seems odd.
DeleteListen...doesn't matter what has been said in the news for what will happen 5-6 years down the road. Not everything is reported or set in stone. Besides, whenever a contract is offered, it has to be agreeable by BOTH parties. It's not necessarily to one's advantage to sign anything too far in advance or report it...especially if you're new and your worth is greater than what you've been offered/what's been offered to counterparts who've been in the game longer. All that said, papers have been signed by some...and it's in a person's best interest not to reveal all their cards to everyone ahead of time. He could have a contract/deal made already...or not, but he won't be saying it on here. There are industry standards/ways that are protocol that have nothing to with him as well...but jus the way things work in general in the industry. It doesn't matter if someone else has reportedly been contracted for JL2 or Guardian if they have less of a role/make less money than HC will be in JL already. Their contract won't necessarily be worth more than what Henry has already been/is/will be offered.
ReplyDeleteMy point is simply...that it's silly and rude to reduce someone's entire worth and talent based on gossip/news about a reported contract about activities that haven't happened yet that are many years down the road. The comments above by and large are negative/reduced to money only and take the fun and excitement out of looking forward to the BvS & JL films that we've not even had an opportunity to see yet...and that have been contracted for and JL hasn't even begun filming yet. It's like having a perfect meal set in front of you and complaining that you don't like that a sprig of parsley wasn't set on the plate with it because you noticed that other dinners had parsley for decoration--and that is all you focus on--and that's it. And you make the conclusion that the dinner sucked without even trying it first. He's got the goods. He knows how to deliver...he already proved it. We don't know everything yet. Enough said.
