The scene was shot in October of 2011 at a pub near the Nanaimo, BC airport (gorgeous area).
Cassidy Inn during the filming of Man of Steel via Black Press
On Monday, a fire destroyed the Cassidy Inn. According to CBC News, the landmark building had been vacant for several years, but it's still sad to see a piece of movie history gone.
The scenes shot at the Cassidy Inn, were also part of the special features included with the home release of Man of Steel.
I actually thought the set was on fire and misread the 'man of steel' bit. I was thinking "damn, how are they going to shoot JL now?!".
ReplyDeleteSomeone mentioned 'ian harding' and I had to look him up, he looks more like Henry Cavill than Matt Bomer does. I mean he's more closer. Like a more younger american version and less bulky.
NOOO, the guy from Buzzfeed... the australian one! He looks so much like Henry, like a much younger version!!! I swear look: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AOleB8wb8xc < he's gorgeous.
DeleteHe's called Nick. Although, I prefer Jen, if we're going into buzzfeed.
DeleteYou know the 2nd video, was that included in the DVD (special features)? Because I have the DVD and it's not there.
ReplyDeleteI think MoS had a few different versions of the special features, depending on where you bought it.
DeleteI bought it from HMV. I just found out about it last year, so I bought it then.
DeleteIt's so hard to believe that it has been 5 years already since that scene from MOS was shot. Too bad this piece of movie history is no longer standing.
ReplyDeleteI thought the same thing. It doesn't feel like it's been five years. On the upside, that's how long Henry has been Superman, establishing his place in the DCEU forever.
DeleteA sad loss!
ReplyDeleteIt's sad when a place that brings deep memories is destroyed.
My heart is with you. God bless you Henry Cavill
