What a day!
Henry has announced he's playing the lead role in the Netflix adaptation of The Witcher.
Here's what you need to know about Geralt and the series (via The Hollywood Reporter):
The eight-episode series is based on the best-selling fantasy book series by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski. It is described as an epic tale of fate and family. Cavill will take on the central character of Geralt of Rivia, a solitary monster hunter who struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts. But when destiny hurtles him toward a powerful sorceress and a young princess with a dangerous secret, the three must learn to navigate the increasingly volatile Continent together.

Executive Producer Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, had this to say about Henry's casting...
He was my first meeting. I didn’t have writers or scripts yet – just a greenlight and a lot of passion. That was four months ago, and I’ve never forgotten the passion he brought. He IS Geralt. He always has been. I’m so thrilled to welcome HENRY CAVILL to the #Witcher family.— Lauren S. Hissrich (@LHissrich) September 4, 2018
Henry teased the big reveal a few weeks ago, when he made this post... sneaky, sneaky!

ReplyDeleteCongratulations Henry! I wish you all the best. My question is to Henry if he reads this, his manager or anyone what is going on with his DC Contract? don't get me wrong being diverse is great! however he started this new DC universe and again Superman is being pushed to one side like he's CRAP! Wonder woman did excellent in the box office and it was a great film but surely Henry deserves a sequel too. I just feel it's not fair on him to not don the cape again. Ben is uncertain, Ezra and Ray are there but like Henry not being pushed enough. It only seems to be working in Gal and Jason's favour. Sorry if this seems a bit harsh but I and many fans want to see Henry back on the screens as Superman.
