Happy New Year: The Witcher Producer Talks Henry

Onet Film just published a new interview with The Witcher producer Tomasz Baginski, where he talks about the casting process for the show, and the online reaction to those decisions. When asked why Henry is the perfect Witcher, he said (google translated): "You will see on the screen. Now I am silent like a grave. Henry Cavill is a big, strong guy, I will not mess with him."

If that's not a tease...

Bring on 2019!

New Photo From Budapest: "Superman Stopped By Last Night"

"Superman stopped by last night and saved a young couple who, in their joy, immediately started kissing over his left shoulder! and I'm embarrassed... but my husband let me go there."

A huge thanks to Paula for letting us know about this new photo of Henry at a Budapest restaurant.

MadeinAnnoni and her husband have met him before, but this time it was her turn for a fab photo.

It looks like The Witcher in training to us!

The Netflix production is on holiday break, with The Witcher set to resume filming in the new year. Keep checking back for the latest updates.

Henry on Training For The Witcher, Bond Possibility, More

The Telegraph chatted with Henry while he was in Venice a few months ago, and they've just published the new interview with him.

You can read it on their site, which you have to register for or below.

When actor Amy Adams was asked about her Man of Steel co-star Henry Cavill’s chiselled looks, she gushed that they were “a little distracting”. Clapping eyes on him for the first time you understand exactly what she meant. The guy is tremendously well put together.

We’re in Venice in late summer, on the private island of San Clemente, where he’s trying on Jaeger-LeCoultre watches for size, becoming the living, breathing embodiment of the Swiss watchmaker’s brawny Polaris Man pitch – it is the sportiest model in the Swiss house’s firmament – in his guise as “friend of the brand”.

Jason Momoa: Henry Is "Absolutely Not" Leaving Superman

Warner Bros.

Oh, ye of little faith.

For those of you who ever doubted that Henry was still Superman, Jason Momoa has now reiterated what we knew all along... Supes would never walk away from his role!

Henry has spoken many times about his love for the character. But when a report came out in September stating Warner Bros was essentially shelving Superman, fans started to wonder... despite the fact that Henry's manager immediately clarified Henry's active status as Supes

At the premiere of Aquaman in Hollywood last night, Jason Momoa added a fresh take -- when asked about his recent comments on Henry potentially leaving Superman behind:

“I just talked to Henry… He’s absolutely not [leaving the character], He loves the character. He’s not. One hundred percent.”

WATCH THE VIDEO AT ET'S SITE.

Henry is currently filming The Witcher in Hungary. As ET points points out, it remains to be seen when we will see Henry fly as Supes again... but it's okay. We can wait... though Frosty over at Collider is getting a little antsy.

You tell them Steve!

'M:I Fallout' Out On Blu-ray, Making Top 2018 Lists, Awards

Mission: Impossible Fallout is out on Blu-ray today!

There is a lot to look forward to, including some awesome behind the scenes and cool details you might have missed in the film itself. Did you catch Walker's quick appearance in the video Ethan watched at the beginning of M:I Fallout? Now you can watch it over and over again.

Bleeding Cool shared an exclusive BTS peek at some of the dangerous stunts in the film.

CHECK IT OUT.

 Paramount Pictures

Mission: Impossible Fallout has also landed on several top lists of 2018 (with more to come).

Variety:

"There are moments in Christopher McQuarrie’s cracklingly fun spectacular when series star Tom Cruise seems hell-bent on killing himself. He did, in fact, break an ankle while filming one of Fallout’s rollicking sequences, a testament to his go-for-broke commitment to this franchise. The Mission: Impossible movies have always been a good time, but Fallout is the first of them to fully utilize the potential of film physics. Whirling high above the mountains of Kashmir in a helicopter and zipping through Paris in one of the new century’s greatest chase scenes, Cruise’s Ethan Hunt is an agent of masterfully controlled chaos, the embodiment of action, finally loosed, regarded with both awe and fear. The best action movie since Mad Max: Fury Road, Fallout may be the sixth installment in the M:I series—but in all its grand escalation, it runs like brand new."

Indiewire (at about 9:30): This one is particularly fun because... Lady Gaga. Just watch.

THE 25 BEST FILMS OF 2018: A VIDEO COUNTDOWN from david ehrlich on Vimeo.

EW:

"In a year when superheroes ruled the box office, the best of the bunch didn’t wear spandex. In his sixth outing as the ageless IMF ringleader Ethan Hunt, Tom Cruise gave a master class in the still-thrilling possibilities of the summer blockbuster. He’s become a skydiving, cliff-hanging, bathroom-brawling antidote to franchise fatigue. Thanks to Cruise and his insatiable, top-this daredevil ethos, Mission: Impossible has become the rare (the only?) series that somehow manages to get better, twistier, and more deliriously fun with each installment."

Finally, M:I Fallout is being recognized by The Los Angeles Online Film Critics. The movie is nominated for Best Blockbuster, Best Visual Effects, Best Stunt Work and Best Action Film. The awards ceremony is set for January 9th. UPDATE (12/7): The film won Best Action Film and Best Stunt Work.

This has been one heck of a year for Henry... and with Nomis and The Witcher on the way, 2019 is looking bright!

The Witcher: Author Believes In Henry, Actors Share Set Details

Image: Netflix

As we wait for the first photos from the set of The Witcher, production news has been hard to come by. Luckily executive producer Lauren S. Hissrich has been giving us a bit of a play by play...

There have been a few updates from the cast and crew as well. Actor Eamon Farren talked to Express UK about how it's been working on the fantasy series for Netflix.

“We've started shooting and you walk onto these sets and they're just incredible, the scale of it is massive.

“What I love about The Witcher is the scale of it is massive -- but the stories and the characters are so intimate and familiar, and they exist in that epic world.

“I love that combination because I think it's so fun to play with the micro and macro smashing up against each other.”

“It feels like a dream to be able to walk on a set like that and and fight and ride horses and yell those words.”

At a Hungarian convention this month, actor and stuntman Vladimir Furdik also revealed that he's been training Henry:

"I'm currently working on The Witcher series for Netflix in Hungary, and I can design combat choreographies. I also train actors, including Henry Cavill, who plays Geralt of Rivia, for scenes that require physical contact."

After watching Henry go up against some of the best fighters in the business in Mission: Impossible Fallout -- we're excited to see what fight moves he brings to the role of Geralt.

As for the creator of the character, he has no doubt Henry is the right man for the job of professional monster killer. Andrzej Sapkowski recently told Spanish site Clarin that he approves of Henry, and believes in his acting talent.

We will all see him in action soon enough. The Witcher is set to premiere on Netflix next year.
