ReplyDeleteThank you for the information! I wrote to Mr. Cavill back in April of 2016 shortly after the release of "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" and received a signed photo about two months later.
ReplyDeleteThe biggest issue for me was finding UK postage to put on the self-addressed envelope. The US Post Offices in my area (Florida) do not carry international postage so I ended up purchasing them online...which was another hurdle due to the currency exchange. I'm not sure if the rules have changed since then so make sure the postage you put on your return envelope is both the right amount and the right kind. Hope this helps! :)

ReplyDeleteYes, at least an 8x10 since that seems to be the size of the pic they have been sending out most recently. Just make sure it has your info and correct international postage.

DeleteHi! It depends on where you live. You should ask your local post office. In some places they don't have the international postage readily available -- but we've heard from some fans that have bought it online. Good luck!

ReplyDeleteThat's the agency that sends Henry's signed autographs on his behalf for free, yes. You just have to provide return postage as noted. It may take a little longer to receive them if it's a really busy time for him, but fans do get them. Good luck!

I sent a letter in August with this address from above and for some reason the letter was returned saying unable to send to address. I have sent cards to this address before and went through. Is their a new address. I even checked to make sure the address was written right. I ask post office. They weren't sure because it's not a United States Addresss. As far as I am concerned, Henry Cavill portrays Superman just as I always hoped he would be portrayed. He is the best Superman, I have ever seen. I will be gravely disappointed if he does not continue in the role. I sent a letter to him on September 10, 2020. I used the above address. I stamped it with 5 international stamps. I put a self addressed envelope in for a reply. I put 5 international stamps on that envelope as well. I heard he is a great guy and replies to everyone. I have not received a reply as of yet. Should I resend my letter?

DeleteHi guys! I wanted to share my experience with this process. I think this will be very helpful to you all 😃. To get international postage, I went to the royal mail website. That is UK’s national mail system. They sell 1st class UK stamps for 0.85 a stamp. I bought two books of 6 stamps for a total of 12 stamps. Each book of 6 cost roughly $7 US dollars. You will have to convert to your currency. Be warned that your credit card will be charged in your currency! I bought those 12 stamps for $17 US dollars with shipping. Royal Mail will ship them to your house. I ordered mine on a Saturday and they arrived exactly a week later! If you buy second class stamps for 0.55 cents, you will need more stamps to ship your signed autograph back to you. I also went to Royal Mail’s website and find how much it costs to mail a large envelope from the UK to the US. It is based on weight. I figured roughly 3-4 Oz which you have to convert to grams on Royal Mail. The postage back to my house (I live in Indiana) was roughly 4 pounds in UK money. So I put all 6 stamps on the return postage for a grand total of 5.1 pounds UK. That way, I had a whole pound of wiggle room should the package weigh an oz or so more. This was the most economical way to do this in my opinion. I also opted for international standard shipping, which takes 3-5 business days to ship from the UK back to the US. If you choose international economy, it was definitely less expensive but your package can take up to 12 weeks to return to you. And with Covid, probably even longer. That may be why some of you are waiting longer than usual. I hope this helps most of you!! Let me know if you have any questions and I will do my best to respond! Thank you!

ReplyDeleteHi! I bought a pack of 9x12 envelopes from the $ store. I folded one 9x12 envelope and put it in the 9x12 that I sent. You have to fold the 9x12 envelope that will be returned to you. It won’t fit in the 9x12 you are mailing there if you do not fold it. So i had two 9x12’s, folded one and put it in the other to be shipper back to me. I hope this helps!

DeleteHi Hannah! Yes, put your letter in the one you are NOT folding. You CANNOT use US postage to ship something from the UK to the US. If you read my long post above, I explain how I did it. You have to buy UK postage to put on your folded envelope so they can ship it here in the US. You put US postage on the outgoing envelope to send to the UK. Does that make sense? I know that is more than enough. It is July 10, 2021. I have not gotten a reply. Is there a different address I should use. I heard Henry is a great guy and replies to just about everyone who writes to him.

ReplyDeleteDepends on where you live. If you live in the U.S. then just make sure there is enough stamps so it will get back to you (ask your local post office). If you live outside the U.S. then you'll need to include enough postage so it can get back to you (again, ask your local post office how much that would be). DeleteHi, I sent away to England in October of 2020 for HENRY and Sam Heughan at the time they used the same agency. Must have been mid switch. Never got anything from either and provided SASE with Royal Mail stamps for return. Then I saw the new address for HENRY and I am pretty sure it’s been well over a year but still no luck. I ended up buying nice photos off of EBay, but I was disappointed. Not sure what went wrong.

DeleteI sent a reato the old UK address in 2020 when that address was here, never got anything. Then in late 2022 I sent away to the new address posted here but I still have not received an autographed photo. I am not sure what I did wrong . I sent the SASE envelopes both times Royal Mail Stamps , US Mail was Priority Mail and return envelope was Priority Mail. Not sure if I should try for a third. I purchased some photos autographed and authenticated on EBay and Superman Stamps from Jersey.
